History of Roulette

Roulette is one of the oldest casino games that are played even today. This game’s history was started in the 18th century in France. Few historians believe that Blaise Pascal introduced the basic version of roulette in the 17th century while searching for a perpetual motion machine. The gaming mechanism of roulette is the wheel invented in 1720 and another Italian game called Biribi.

By the end of 2008, hundreds of casinos offered roulette. The double zero wheels are prominent in the USA, Canada, Caribbean, and South America, whereas the single zero wheels are used in the other countries.

This game has evolved recently and is now the top casino game played on tables and online.
